Living the Fortunate Life

Hello!  Welcome!

My name is Cheryl, and together with my husband and two boys, I'm "living the fortunate life."  Everyday I get to live the life I always dreamed of, through good times and bad, in our recently purchased home with its 34+ acres of property in the beautiful rolling hills outside of Ottawa. 

We are first time home owners looking make our house our home, and trying out all sorts of diy budget decorating. We are aspiring Canadian homesteaders who aren't sure how to do that yet or where to start.  Oh, and we are raising a family while we are at it.  This is where we document our adventures ~ and misadventures ~ along the way .
